7pm Dinner at L’Alliance.

I will let the pictures do the talking.

On the first day of October, we packed our suitcases and left for Paris after breakfast. Derrick and Deidre were supposed to go on a hot air balloon ride but it was canceled because of the weather. We stopped in Chartres to go see the Cathedral. It was being renovated but we were able to go inside and enjoy the beauty of all the stained glasses. I lit a candle in honor of my parents.

We arrived in Paris in the middle of rush hour and it was pretty stressful, especially for the back seat drivers. We drove by the Arc de Triomphe and it was impressive despite the crazy traffic. We stopped at the hotel to drop the suitcases then Pogo brought the rental car back. He had just a few minutes to get ready before we walked to the Moulin Rouge for dinner. I was expecting a tourist trap but it was actually so fun! The food was fine but the show was amazing. First there was a band with 2 singers entertaining us while we were eating. We even danced. We just happen to have our table very close to the stage but just before the show started, the stage started moving towards us and stop right at our table. The dancers and singers were so close to us that I was afraid we would be kicked in the head a few times. Feathers from the costumes were flying by. We had constant smiles and were amazed by the talented entertainers. Unfortunately we couldn’t take picture during the show.

We walked back to our hotel around 11pm, I have to mention that our rooms are so small that there isn’t any place to open our suitcases but the bed. We are going to have to be very neat for the next 4 nights.
