Home Day 15

We got up at 6am Paris time, had a short walk to the Air France counter, checked our luggage then spent a few hours in the lounge.

We flew to Atlanta (11am to 7:30pm) and arrived at 1:30pm local time. I had time to watch 2 movies: new Little Mermaid and La vie pour de vrai (life for real), a cute French movie with a lot of Club Med references. I also watched a documentary about the Burgundy region. We had 2 meals on the plane. Pogo was able to sleep for a while.

We went through global entry in about 30 seconds, picked up our luggage, dropped off our luggage again and went to another lounge for almost 6hrs.

I was so tired but obviously couldn’t sleep.

The day was spent sitting a lot and eating a lot.

I had time to reflect on our trip and it just was wonderful!

The weather was fantastic every day.

We visited so many new places including many medieval villages.

We tried all the local foods and wines.

I assume my French must be really bad now because most people would answered me in English.

My knees did great considering all the steep hills and stairs we took.

I’m glad I went out of my comfort zone and went on the hot air balloon ride.

I checked a bucket list item by staying in French châteaux.

We both had our best meal ever in St Emilion.
