Sylvie's Travels Home

Martin called me at 8am to talk about my aunt’s funeral. We talked for 45 minutes. I sent him the eulogy I had written about his mom and he liked it. I reminded him about a few things including memorial cards. He sent me a picture of his mom that he was thinking of using but it was out of focus. Pogo tried to fix it but the quality wasn’t there. I asked Max if she maybe had an app that could help. She found one, fixed the picture and gave Martin a few options.

We went to La Isla for breakfast and the kittens saga continued! Graciela now had the 6 kittens. She said that she was planning on keeping the mom, get her spayed and will also keep all the kittens! Hopefully she is planning on giving a few away. She certainly tried to give me one.

We spent all afternoon organizing and packing. I took pictures of everything we are leaving behind for next year. I wish I could leave all the pounds I gained over the winter as well. We cleaned the fridge and cabinets. Martha will take home all the food, condiments and drinks left, after she cleans the condo tomorrow morning.

I talked to Martin for another 30 minutes.

We went to La Sonorita for Al Pastor tacos and they were so good tonight. Pogo was in heaven! He said Al Pastor tacos are his Mexican smoked meat.

We went through every room to make sure we had not forgotten anything and we put back all the decorations, frames, bowls, etc. in their original places.

We watched the first episode of Shadow and Bone on Netflix.
