Nuevo Nayarit Day 70

I washed and prepped all the fruits for breakfast, wrote my blog then got ready for our 10:15am pickleball. Pogo came with us but didn’t play as his back was still hurting.

We left pickleball at 11:45am and went to La Isla for breakfast but they were closed even though Graciela’s car was there. I assume it was because of the holiday. We also found out that Andres’s dad passed away yesterday. We went to D Bistro instead and the service was annoyingly slow. We arrived at noon and left at 1:30pm. It took half an hour to place our order and another 45 minutes to get our food. The waiter kept forgetting to bring my coffee and our water.

We went to the Nuevo Nayarit’s marina, walked around then chilled at the condo for a while. Deidre took a walk on the beach and Derrick went biking.

We went to Zicatela in Punta de Mita for dinner. It was excellent. We all had wedge salads as appetizers then Derrick had the duck enchilada, Deidre had a farro salad with grilled shrimp and both Pogo and I had the zarandeado fish of the day which was bass. When I reserved, I told them that it was Derrick’s birthday, even though it’s not until the 22nd, so they brought him a special dessert with a sparkling candle.

We got back home around 9:30pm and went straight to bed.

Max has been sending me pictures of her trip to Colombia so far and I included some. She is now in Guatape for the next few days.
