Nuevo Nayarit Day 69

March 19, 2023

We left around 9am and went to Proyeco Darwin for breakfast. Derrick was our driver for the day. Pogo wasn’t sure if he could sit in the car most of the day but besides having a really hard time getting in and out of the car, walking and sitting wasn’t too bad so we drove to Lo de Marcos to show our guests around. They loved the beach. We explored for awhile and took some fun pictures around town. It’s really a cute Mexican town, not inundated with tourists yet.

Our next stop was La Peñita. On the way there, we saw lots of people on horses always willing to wave back when I take their pictures. We thought they were going to a fair near Lo de Marcos. We saw lots of pretty murals all over town.

We made our way to Rincon de Guayabitos. We first went to Vista Guayabitos, a restaurant with an incredible view of the beach. We couldn’t believe how busy the beach was with hundreds of umbrellas. We were expecting to see many people, being a long weekend in Mexico celebrating Benito Juarez birthday, but not that many. We had a drink there then went back in town for Chicken Boy, of course. We introduced Derrick and Deidre to our favorite chicken and it was a hit.

We were going to look for the fair on the way back, but we decided to take the highway instead and got back at the condo at 4:30pm. We all rested while Deidre took a long walk on the beach. We ended up in the pool again to watch the sunset. Mario and Josée had invited Jeanette and Larry, pickleball players, for dinner and they joined us in the pool, after Mario took hold of my phone and took a bunch of pictures of us and a few selfies. We found out that they sold everything to travel for the next 5 years. Their plans are all set for the next year, going back to Edmonton for a few months then traveling to the Scandinavian countries and Africa.

We decided to watch Everyone Everywhere All at Once which won the Oscar for best movie. We couldn’t finish it. It was frantic and so hard to understand.

I’m including a picture of my uncle and I from a few years ago which I meant to include in yesterday’s blog.
