Nuevo Nayarit Day 68

March 18, 2023

I woke up at 3am because I could hear Pogo going to the bathroom. His back was still hurting a lot but at least he was able to get out of bed. A little improvement.

Mario’s corvette made it to Vermont without a problem.

Derrick went to play pickleball. I made breakfast and Pogo was able to join us and sit at the counter for a little while. The muscle relaxants seemed to help a bit. He went back to bed right after.

I sadly found out that my godfather uncle Gérard passed away last night. He will be missed by all who knew his sense of humor and his love for our family.

Derrick, Deidre and I went to La Comer to get some groceries and for Derrick to get a swimsuit which he had forgotten to bring. We went to Bucerias to look at bike rentals. Derrick decided to rent an electric bike/scooter on the spot, leaving me to drive back from Bucerias which I had never done. I needed a little retail therapy first to find the courage to get behind the wheel and thankfully everything went well.

We went for a late lunch at La Gaviota and all had delicious shrimp tacos.

Pogo and Derrick took a nap and Deidre and I sat on the balcony. We all went to the pool and had a glass of wine. Mario and Josée met us there and brought us margaritas! The water was warm and we stayed in the pool until after another beautiful sunset.

We had steaks on the bbq and Deidre made some yummy mushrooms and potatoes.

Pogo’s back seemed to keep improving but far from normal.
