We walked to Starbucks and had a coffee. I saw a message from Josée wondering if I was going to pickleball. I had totally forgotten that I normally play on Monday and not Tuesday as I was planning on…so mixed up.
We picked up some banana bread at Paradise Market, the real stuff this time, to share with our friends. We had breakfast at La Isla and shared our favorite meal there: a fruit platter and eggs Florentine. They had just emptied a box of old tomatoes in their parking lot to feed the iguanas. It is always fun to see so many of them rushing to feed but they really should put the food closer to the edge of the trees instead of in the middle of the parking lot. It looks really messy especially with the empty boxes and plastic containers they always leave there…
We dropped some banana bread at Josée et Mario and ended up eating lots of it with them while chatting. I gave one of my hats to Josée and she looked pretty good with her big sunglasses in an incognito way.
Pogo had PT scheduled at 3pm and I had a doctor’s appointment at 6pm. They called me at 2:30pm to see if I could come at 3:30pm instead. It was great as it was saving us an extra drive there. I ended up with another shot of cortisone in my butt this time to help with the swelling still happening in my left knee since my fall and to help with my tennis elbow. I will be Superwoman soon, able to do whatever I want, as I won’t feel any pain anywhere, right? The visit cost me $40. He gave me a prescription for an anti-inflammatory medicine as well as a cream for bruising.
We went to La Comer to pick up a few things and I totally forgot to fill my prescriptions.
Dee and Michel showed up at 6pm and we had appetizers, wine and beer on the front balcony. They stayed until 8pm. Right after sunset, I saw a cloud in the shape of a running velociraptor. I think it was looking for Shaun.
We had noticed Mario and Josée by the pool chatting with friends so we brought Dee and Michel to say goodbye to them. We found out that our new friends Yves, his wife (I can remember her name) and son Jean-François were leaving tomorrow so we said goodbye to them as well.
We drove Dee and Michel back to their condo and on our return ran into Mario and Josée at the elevator who asked us if we wanted to order sushi with them. Pogo and Mario went to pick the order up at Nicksan which Mario treated us to and we had a fun late dinner at our place.
Today was a total social extravaganza!
