Pogo left at 7:30am to do his last PRP treatment and met me at pickleball. I played 4 games and thought I was going to pass out from the heat. Maybe the fact that I had not played in 2 weeks didn’t help either.

We came home and I had to rest for 30 minutes before I stopped sweating. I took a shower, met Josée in the parking lot and went for a consultation about Botox with Dr. Walters. Josée had been seeing him for years and was really happy with the results of his care. Unfortunately for my vanity, he said that Botox shouldn’t be perform on anyone with any types of muscular dystrophy. I was very thankful for his honesty and research. My own neurologist had told me it would be ok….Time to find a new neurologist…

I came home around 2pm and we went next door to La Gaviota for lunch. I was starving by then since I had not had breakfast. We saw three dolphins really close to shore, just playing in the waves and very close to the kite surfer going back and forth. We decided to bring home a margarita but were disappointed they were not as good as they used to be. Different bartender I guess. When we got back to the condo, we ran into Dee who was sitting by the pool, visiting a friend of hers. We chitchatting for a little while and made tentative plans to meet with them again before their March 15 departure.

We stayed home the rest of the day as Pogo’s knees were really hurting. We did a little balconville and had dinner on the balcony, a shrimp and chorizo paella, compliment of chef Pogo. We watched a little tv and I brought Pogo bags of frozen veggies to apply on his knees and hopefully relieve some of his pain.

We were sorry to miss the gathering for Dylan’s 18th birthday celebration back in Vermont. We had a toast in his honor.
