Nuevo Nayarit Day 49

February 27, 2023

Pogo left at 7am to go to pickleball and missed an amazing show of dolphins feeding right in front of our condo. They were there for almost 30 minutes.

We picked Pogo up and went to, wait for it, La Isla for breakfast. I had never seen so many iguanas together. At some point, there were at least 2 dozen. Michel fed them so fruits and they were all surrounding him.

We went back home so Pogo could take a shower before going to La Cruz to show the little town to our guests. On the way there, we stopped at a gas station so I could go to the bathroom. I was on my way to the trunk to get toilet paper and didn’t notice the inch high demarcation in the cement and took a bad fall. Ted who had been walking to the OXXO, heard me crying in pain and came running back. The gentleman in the parked car beside us, also came to help. Pogo was in the car looking at his phone and never noticed or heard anything! I scraped my knee pretty bad and removed a lot of polish from my toes. We stopped at a pharmacy and Pogo went to get stuff to clean my wound.

We made it to La Cruz, took a little stroll around the marina and Edward droned over it. We then drove to Punta de Mita and tried going to Terraza de Manolo, the rooftop restaurant/bar with a great view, but it was closed. We went instead to Mina, the old Si Señor, and had guacamole, pico de gallo and margaritas. It is still the prettiest restaurant around. We saw someone scraping off oysters from coral during low tide.

We stopped at Mega on our way home then spent some time in the pool. We had burgers and a salad on the porch for dinner during sunset.

Shaun sent me a picture of Penny wearing her Mexican bandana with pride.
