Nuevo Vallarta Day 42-43

February 20 and 21, 2023

We played pickleball at 10:15am and it was extremely hot. We lasted until 11:45am and we left. I drove Max to Starbucks around 2pm and she worked there until 7pm. At 3:30pm, Pogo went to the hospital to get his blood drawn then had his first session of PRP injections in his knees. We all went to Riviera Grill for dinner. The service was slow but the food was excellent. I had mahi mahi Al Pastor, Pogo and Max had seared tuna steaks and Hernan had filet mignon. We saw some great fireworks from the Marival hotel.

The next morning I had a wonderful Facetime with Tante Lise. They had removed the tube from her nose and she just had had a lemon sorbet. She was so happy and we had a great conversation and some laughs. Martin had set up music from Perry Como, her favorite, on his computer for her to enjoy. Afterwards Pogo and I went to get some shrimp at a fish market in Mescales then went to do a grocery at La Comer. We went to Mr Cream around noon for a very late breakfast. Birds kept going into sugar packs on the empty tables as well as eating food from dirty dishes. On our return, Max and Hernan spent a few hours by the pool soaking up the sunshine.

I washed all my fruits and veggies then cleaned the place up as Dee and Michel were coming for dinner. They arrived at 5:30pm. We had appetizers in the living room, watched the sunset and had dinner around 7:30pm. Mario and Josée came over around 8:30pm and we chatted until almost 11pm. It was a fun evening. Thank god for Max and Hernan doing all the dishes before going to bed.

My aunt took a turn for the worst in the late afternoon. They are now giving her oxygen.
