South Hero Day 23-24

February 1st and 2nd, 2023

Happy Birthday to Shaun!

We got up at 7:30am to a beautiful and crisp winter scenery. The sky was a frosty blue and the ground was blanketed in a thick layer of white snow and I thought to myself: What the heck were you thinking???

Shaun had decided to come work at our house which I was so happy about. We went to Mckee’s for lunch and shared a pizza that I was craving. Max sent us a poem she had written about Shaun and I couldn’t read more than a few sentences because it made me cry. It was so touching!

I couldn’t wait to go back to our warm house! I opened the accumulated mail and was thrilled to discover a dozen Christmas cards. Still tired from the traveling day, we decided to take a nap while Shaun worked. Pogo paid some bills and had to call Xfinity to fix the tv cable that wasn’t working while I wrapped a few birthday presents.

Shaun had chosen to go to the Gryphon for his birthday dinner (downtown Burlington) and we met Ashley there. We shared seared tuna, mussels and a cheese platter then Shaun and I had filet mignon and Pogo and Ashley had a chicken sesame salad.

The next day, Elaine came over for breakfast (bagels and grapes…) then I met Mom, Kim, Pogo and his siblings at Panera in Shelburne to celebrate Sherry’s birthday. It was nice to catch up with everyone.

I did a little shopping while Pogo played pickleball then we caught up on tv shows.

I am so very proud of our kids who are now both new entrepreneurs! Shaun with a website design and social media company and Max is now registered as Exploraddict LLC. Very proud Mom!!

Did I mention how cold it is here?
