Nuevo Vallarta Day 16

January 25, 2023

I washed the bedsheets since Martha was coming to clean the condo. We have been having problems with the washer. The tank fills with water but won’t start washing unless I open the cover. When the wash cycle is done, it stops again until I close the cover. It then drains the water until…wait for it…it stops again until I turn the dial to spin…So I can’t be too far while doing the laundry.

Martha had a friend with her to help her clean. She told us that 4 months ago she had had a heart attack and almost died. The doctor told her to take it easy.

We took our walk to the Starbucks and enjoyed our beverage on their outdoor patio. I went to the Sunset Market to buy a small cake to bring to Gabriela as today was her birthday. She confirmed that I could have my color done tomorrow at her spa. Pogo will have his haircut at the same time. She told us to meet her at La Isla at 11:45am tomorrow so we can follow her there.

Martha was still home when we came back so we went to La Comer to pick up some grocery aka liquors and electrolytes. We didn’t know that the Bucerias market was Wednesday at La Comer outdoor parking lot. It was really busy but we found a parking spot. We did our grocery and decided to see what they had at the market for food. It was almost 1pm and they were about to close down but we shared a choripan, basically a sausage sandwich. All the vendors were packing up but I managed to find a booth with all my colorful pompoms!

On our return, Pogo took a nap then drove Mario, Josée and Ryan to the airport as they were picking up a car and also Sabrina, their daughter, and her boyfriend. I took a shower and sat on the balcony to read.

After the sunset, we went to Zenizas, a restaurant specializing in ribs but were still not impressed despite the great margaritas. We probably won’t go back.

We read until we went to bed.
