Mexico – Day 90

Day 90? Crazy!

I saw a bunch of dolphins slowly going across the bay this morning.

We left to go back to the Botanical Gardens because Max had seen pictures that people had taken inside a chapel on the grounds of the gardens. I had seen the building before but never went inside. On the way, Pogo’s app told him, just before the airport, that the Gardens were closed today! Thank god we found out before getting there as it is over an hour drive. We will try again tomorrow.

We stopped at a pharmacy to get foot medicine for Deidre then we went to La Isla for brunch and to say our goodbye to Graciella. Very sad.

I continued packing and organizing for a few hours.

We went for a walk on the beach for the last time this year. Very sad. We saw lots of dead fish, dying bees and a trained falcon. They started putting new ropes on the beach fence.

We went for dinner at Le Bistrot in Bucerias. Max started with an onion soup, Pogo with foie gras and I had escargots. We all had the steak au poivre and it was delicious.

It’s going to be extremely difficult to go back home and to start cooking again but my body is begging for a slice of dry toast for breakfast, an apple for lunch and to skip dinner for the next few months.

We took a little walk in Bucerias and Max bought 4 gorgeous handmade and hand blown shots glasses.

By the time we got home, we were tired enough to just go to bed.
