Mexico – Day 82

Shaun took time to go for a last cast on the beach then we left at 9:15am to go for breakfast at Mr Cream. He had a fruit platter with yogurt and granola, Pogo had waffles with fruits and Max and had had eggs benedict.

Sadly we had to drop Shaun off at the airport at 10:30am. I might have had tears in my eyes. We were just by the exit of Nuevo when he called me to say that security would not let me bring his fishing rod case as a carry-on so we turned back and went to pick it up. After a 3 hours layover in Atlanta, he arrived In Burlington at 12:30am and got back home around 2am. Long travel day.

After picking up Shaun’s fishing rod, we went to the market at La Cruz. Max and I went straight to a bead jewelry vendor I had seen a month and a half ago. Unfortunately, she had almost nothing left. I still bought a pair of earrings and a ring for Max. On the way back to the car, I spotted some cool t-shirts and bought one for Shaun. Meanwhile, Pogo went to buy shrimp.

We got back home and just stayed in the condo all afternoon. I did some laundry and picked up the place.

After the sunset, we met Mario and Josée in the parking lot and we drove to Nicksan to have a last dinner together before they leave to go back home tomorrow. Max had decided not to join us because she wanted to give us time alone. We had the most delicious meal! We all shared Shrimp Sunomono, Scallop and Shrimp Gyozas, Eel Hand Roll, California Special Roll, Sake Lemon Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll and a Clear Lobster roll. We had a few repeats and a crazy amount of margaritas. We brought back a Sake Lemon Roll for Max. It was almost 11pm so the pour thing was starving!

We chit chatted with our friends and Max a little longer and went to sleep, dreaming of future safaris.
