Mexico – Day 63

I met Josée in the parking lot at 9:30am and we drove with “l’auto à mon oncle”, their car’s nickname, to the market. We took our time and browsed slowly through all the stalls for a few hours. I got a top and she bought a necklace and a wallet for Mario. We sat for a few minutes and enjoyed a cinnamon roll and a blueberry roll.

Pogo and I made some sandwiches for lunch and we watched an episode of Vikings: Valhalla on Netflix. Pogo took his nap and I read on the balcony.

We went to La Isla for their Mariachis night and it was great! The band had 8 talented musicians and singers, including 2 young women. The 2 parrots were enjoying the music as well and were making it known. Guess what Pogo requested? Of course Cucurrucucu La Paloma! They played for over an hour while we had dinner: tortilla soup, chicken chili relleno for Pogo and the Mariachi special of steak, pork and chorizo for me. We shared a cheesecake. Everything was delicious.

The restaurant was full and it was another successful evening for Graciela and Andreas and definitely a treat for us, Mariachis lovers!
