Sylvie's Travels Home

We left the condo at 8:45am, earlier than normal for us, hoping it would be cooler while walking. We had our prerequisite stop at Starbucks then decided to try a new breakfast place in our quest to find the best fruit platter around. We went to Napolitos, another restaurant in the Paradise Village mall. It wasn’t a winner but the menu translation put a smile on my face. For our “beberages”, I had a green juice and Pogo had coffee, we didn’t have the “white of eggs from de farm” but added “bread toasts” to our fruit platter instead of “baguels”.

Our bellies didn’t feel too good afterwards so we had to stop at a few places on the way. I guess it was revenge for laughing at the menu.

We went to the beach, read for hours, and had lunch next door at La Gaviota. I had the shrimp tacos and Pogo had marlin tacos. He didn’t really care for them.

We went back to the beach. When my butt couldn’t handle the hard lounge chairs, we went back to the balcony since it was really windy by the pool. Pogo took a nap and I caught up with Michel. Then I spent 2 hours on the phone chatting with Sylvie Frisbie who I hadn’t talked to in months.

We had a late dinner of pasta while watching 2 episodes of Around the World in 80 days.
