Sylvie's Travels Home

We slept in, had breakfast and left at 11am to go to the market in the parking lot of Chedraui in Bucerias. It was much smaller than the one in Nuevo so we didn’t stay long.

We drove into town for a little bit but then decided to go find Destiladeras Beach, a place we had discovered 5 years ago and had not been back since. It is such a beautiful beach close to Punta de Mita. They now have a few restaurants and lots of umbrellas on the beach with people coming to spend the day. It was a lot more crowded than our previous visit but still pretty quiet compared to our beach and totally flat which is great.

We stopped in Punta de Mita and had lunch at La Terraza de Manolo, a rooftop bar we went to a few weeks ago. The waiter Oscar was just as friendly as before. We shared chips and pico de gallo and a burger. It has such a gorgeous and peaceful view of the ocean with the surfers and the boats.

We came back around 3pm and it was quite windy. We saw a kitesurfer and a wing foiler. Pogo took a nap and I did some laundry while watching Amazing Race on my Ipad. We did nothing for the rest of the evening besides watching the first episode of PBS Around the World in 80 Days.
