After a few loads of laundry, we did our normal walk to Starbucks and brunch at La Isla. Besides our fruit salad, we felt like a BLT which is not on the menu. We explained what we wanted and they brought us a humongous sandwich with not only bacon, lettuce and tomatoes but grilled ham, cheese and avocado. And a side of fries…
We went to the beach for a few hours and had a great surprise. They finally had fixed the steps on the beach after asking them for more than one month! They added bags of sands then put sand on top of it so it is easier to step to the gate. My hips and knees said thank you in unison! We caught up with our friends. They said that there was a crocodile in the waves right in front of our condo a few days ago! Since Vidanta has been building a golf course over their natural habitat, there has been more crocodile sightings on the beach. I read that this one was captured and brought to the crocodile sanctuary.
We saw lots of smoke across the bay between Bucerias and LaCruz but probably just another land clearing fire.
We went to do the grocery around 5:30pm and saw some coatis on the side of the road. They were hoping to be fed as they were following our car.
After sunset, we made a dinner of garlic shrimp with mushroom cauliflower rice. We had almost forgotten how to cook. We watched the latest episode of Creatures Great and Small and it was my favorite so far.

Besides Jaws, now we have to avoid Lake Placid??? Seriously, crocodiles???

As long as we keep it at that. I draw the line at Arachnophobia!
