Mexico -Day 37

We met for the included breakfast at 8:30am then left at 10am to spend the day in Tlaquepaque, a Pueblo Magico.  We walked on the main pedestrian only street and saw the most unique stores and restaurants. The street was full of unusual statues.

We had a late lunch at Restaurante Casa Luna which had the most gorgeous decor. Each huge manmade trees had different themed lighting and ornaments.

We all shared duck tacos then Pogo and I shared a Caesar salad and a tequila cream chicken pasta.  With our cappuccinos, they brought us animal crackers then mini guava and mango popsicles.  Around 3:30pm a group of 5 women started playing very eclectic music but very enjoyable, everyone in the restaurant was clapping along.

We took a taxi back to our hotel and moved to our next bedroom since the room we had yesterday was rented out.  It was smaller then the other but had tiny white hummingbirds painted in one corner.

We had planned to spend the day in Tequila but the tour we wanted to take was full until Monday so we decided to take a bus back to Nuevo and will leave tomorrow morning at 10:30am. Derrick and Deidre will fly tomorrow at 6am to go to Oaxaca. Max found them a room in a nice hotel and got them a 20% discount.

We stayed in our room for the rest of evening liking the idea of resting and going to bed early….when suddenly mariachis started playing on the opened rooftop just above our heads. I guess it was a private party but it would have been nice for the hotel to have warned us. They played from 8pm till 9pm. Don’t get me wrong, I love mariachis but they were not the best. Because we were awake later than we thought we would be, we started getting hungry. Unfortunately the delivery app Pogo tried wouldn’t work so we had lifesavers for dinner. Also once in awhile, a bunch of kids would start playing loudly in front of our door while the parents continued partying at least until midnight when I finally fell asleep.
