Mexico – Day 20

It was cloudy all day.

We went for a walk then had leftovers for lunch.

We were supposed to go shopping with Josée but plans changed so we just stayed in. We watched a little TV, watched the workers cut palm leaves and coconuts. They must have told people not to go to the pools as they were both empty which was a good thing because coconuts and leaves were falling all over the place, even in the pools.

Just to say we did something, we went out to dinner at Nicksan, a Japanese restaurant at the Marival hotel. Our friends had been there last week and loved it so we decided to go back for the first time in years. We shared a cucumber salad, shrimp and scallop gyozas, special eel roll and gorgonzola shrimp. Everything was delicious.

Also because the weather wasn’t great we walked there before the sunset. It started raining a bit as soon as we arrived. 45 minutes later, I got a message from Josée gushing about the sunset!!! What a bummer we missed it especially that so far, we had not seen a really pretty one. I included pics, courtesy of Josée.
