Mexico – Day 19

We drove to La Cruz to get some fresh shrimp as we had invited our friends for dinner. I was so happy to see that all the artisans were back! Pogo not so much…I will need to go back to do some shopping with a kindred spirit…

We bought a cucumber salad, a baguette, a sweet bread with cranberries, garlic butter and shrimp.

We stopped at Panino’s on our way home, a little restaurant serving breakfast and lunch. All clients were locals which is always a good sign. I had their pesto chicken sandwich and Pogo had their club house. Mine was definitely the winner. We ate outdoors which was a little loud because of the traffic and the car wash across the street. They also have a little boulangerie inside where you can buy fresh bread and bagel to go.

Shaun went to our house in South Hero to do a little ice fishing and sent me a picture. The sky looked so weird and spooky.

On our way home, Josée warned us that our “friend DOD Mike I hate drones” was back….Great!!

We rested then started preparing for dinner. We had cheeses, chorizo and strawberries for appetizers. Dinner was a Mexican rice, grilled shrimp, cucumber salad and bread. Mario and Josée brought us some beautiful flowers. We had a good time but a little more quiet than the night before. I guess we were still recovering…

It was pretty humid with no wind so we decided to go for a dip in the pool.

The evening was so cloudy again that we never saw the sun setting.
