Mexico – Day 18

A first since arriving here: we ate all our meals at home! Pogo made his version of the avocado toast with a poached egg. It was delish.

After a few cloudy days, it was nice to see the sunshine so we decided to spend the day at the beach. It was also a very active day on the water with regattas, kayakers, kitesurfers but mostly lots of whales and dolphins. Pogo again was able to get some good footage with his drone.

I stayed in the condo longer than Pogo and when I finally went down, I went in the pool to chat with our friends while Pogo was droning over dolphins from the beach.

We then went to the pool again at 3pm then again at 5pm to bring “aperos” to our friends. Pogo made them margaritas and I made us bloody caesars.

We discovered that we were all planning on making burgers for dinner and Mario had the great idea to meet on the beach to eat them. Around 7:15pm, Josée, Daniel and I went down first to set up the tables, candles, drinks and accompaniments. The ambiance was unbeatable, Pogo played some great tunes, disco and Mexican music and the burgers tasted better than ever! We danced in the sand, had a few tequila shots, some great laughter and it was another moment for the books.
