Sylvie's Travels Home

2 weeks already! We walked to the farmer’s market and until further notice, they will not have artisans, just food. We wanted to get some shrimp but the line was way too long. We thought of having our favorite sandwich there but the vendor wasn’t there either. Soooo…we went back to La Isla to get their fruit platter and avocado toasts.

We stayed at the condo until 2pm and then went to the pool for about an hour. Someone came to wash the glass banister and what a difference it made.

Josée had made a reservation for the 5 of us to Los Pericos in Bucerias. We left at 5:30pm and had a drink first at Adauto’s located on the oceanside. We saw some cute hummingbirds.

Having had a headache, I had decided not to have alcohol during dinner. The margaritas were flowing and our group was getting louder and funnier by the second! Secrets were exchanged and some people might not make it out of Mexico….We had a delicious meal including mahi mahi, molcajete azteka, chicken fajita, and some enchiladas.

We went for a walk and ended up at a bar called Jax. They had a great band singing 80’s music and the young singer had an amazing voice even though she didn’t always know the real words of the songs. We found a table close to the stage but away from other people. Everyone was dancing and having a great time. I was a little quieter as my headache was coming back. More drinks were had and Pogo, not driving for once, was feeling no pain 🙂

We got back to the car, stopped for some churros and were home by 10:30pm. A great evening with friends to repeat soon!
