Mexico – Day 12

Pogo spent the morning on the phone with Skip, our neighbor, Mark, his friend and Shaun, our son…..Skip, who keeps an eye on the house for us while we are away, had been to our house the day before and had discovered that the water was not running in the laundry room so he turned off the water completely. This morning Pogo had noticed on one of his apps that we had no heat in the big room so had asked Skip to go back to the house. He made him turn on the fireplace and the split unit to warm up the room. He also asked Mark to go look at it and he found a split in a pipe that was frozen. Pogo tried to find a plumber but nobody called back. Meanwhile Shaun was coming to the house to do a few things including fixing the heater in the garage and he wasn’t able to do it. Our house is basically falling apart while we are away.

I spent my morning working on my new WordPress Blog, first with Edward who set it all up for me and then taught me how to use it. THANK YOU EDWARD for all of your work and patience! I greatly appreciate!

I also did some laundry and finally joined Pogo on the beach around 1pm. We went next door and finally had their yummy shrimp tacos. $12 for 5 tacos, french fries and 2 seltzers isn’t bad at all.

I went for a walk on the beach with Josée, Mario and Daniel and Pogo went for a run a little later on. Josée was teasing Pogo all day saying he was always napping while on the beach. I have proof he is not the only one!

We went to La Isla for dinner but they were closed. Sacrilegious! We went to Riviera Grill instead just because of their beautiful decor. The food was actually really good, Cornish hen with mole for me and shrimp fajitas for Pogo but it was expensive.
