Sylvie's Travels Home

February 4 and 5, 2024

Deidre and Derrick packed their bags, they had to get a big tote for their clothes as Deidre used their two carry-ons for all the goodies she bought for her store. We dropped them off and said our goodbyes at the airport at 11am, stopped at the new pickleball location which is supposed to be ready on March 1st (there is no way from the look of it), had breakfast at Pata de Elephante and went back to the condo.

I spent the rest of the afternoon doing laundry and organizing. We went to the pool for a few hours, had burgers at the condo while watching Creatures Great and Small.

I couldn’t fall asleep until past midnight just to wake up at 2am. I was up reading until 4:30am, so 7am came very quickly. I washed the sheets from our bed and I had just gotten out of the shower when Martha and Letty arrived at 8:45am to clean the condo, way earlier than their expected 9:30am usual arrival. They were happy with the food and the beer we gave them.

We went to La Isla for breakfast then went to DHL, hoping to ship to Derrick his driver’s license which we had found in the car. They were closed because of Constitution Day. We went to Costco. It was packed because of Constitution Day…We also went to La Comer. We stopped at Oh Croissant for the first time, hoping for a quick sandwich but they were out so we settled on a delicious danish instead. We came home at almost 2pm and Martha and Letty were just leaving. They were here for 5 hours instead of 3 hours. Maybe they took a nap?

We did more balconville then Ryan came over for dinner while his parents and grandparents were going out. We were having pasta carbonara but he wanted plain pasta, and I mean plain, no butter no cheese, which he thought was very delicious. He colored, we played cards and we watched funny animals youtube videos on tv. We all had a great time!

I haven’t talked to Max the past few days but last night I took a screen shot of a picture she had just posted. It looks like she is in paradise.
