Nuevo Nayarit, Mexico – Day 3-4

January 13 & 14, 2023

Pogo played pickleball at 7:15am. Mom and I had breakfast at the condo while I wrote my first blog. I was debating about writing it because it is the 7th year of coming to Nuevo and we do pretty much the same things but habits are hard to break I guess and Mom looks forward reading it and finding what we did even though she is here right now! Haha! I might not write every day.

After lunch, we went to Luma to see Dee and Michel’s condo. It looked amazing and from their 7th floor had a gorgeous view of their multiple pools and the beach. Unfortunately no sunset view with the angle the building is in which is too bad because they are paying $9000 a month…gulp.

I went to hang out at the beach with Josée et Diane, who had just arrived with Alain the night before and we ended up having a margarita at the old location of Etc.

I went back to the condo at 6pm and the 3 of us went for dinner to La Sonorita for some Al Pastor tacos.  Around 8pm, Pogo and I went to Mario and Josée to have a glass of wine and to catch up with Alain and Diane. While the boys were chatting, the girls went to see the condo that Diane and Alain are renting. It had been all renovated and it looked really nice. Hopefully our owner will do that eventually.

On Sunday, we all went to La Patrona in San Pancho for the polo match and brunch. It was the first time for Alain and Diane. We first stopped at the stables to see the horses. We had arrived early to make sure that we would have a good sitting location close to the food and to avoid too much walking for Mom. It was a perfect day, not a cloud in the sky, just warm enough with a little breeze. The food was delicious and the polo match entertaining.

On our way out, we stopped at their beach club about 20 minutes away for a drink and a little guacamole for Mom. I found out that if we wanted to go for the day and used the pool and lounge chairs, it would cost $1200 pesos but that would include $800 pesos towards food and drinks.

We left our friends in San Pancho around 3:30pm and drove home. Pogo and Mom took a nap and I sat on the balcony until the sunset.

We had the other half of the Costco pizza which was bbq chicken but it wasn’t as tasty. We watched the end of the first episode of the Inspector Alleyn Mysteries.
