We got up at 5:30am, got ready and left the hotel by 6am. The drive to Bordeaux went smoothly as well as returning the car at the train station. The train left at 8:02am on the dot. I had asked the hotel to prepare us a breakfast since we were leaving so early. They gave us a bunch of sweet breads, cookies, 2 apples, 7 grapes and 2 bottles of grape juice. What happened to the cheese? So mean!

The train ride was really smooth and after a few stops, we arrived at the Charles de Gaulle airport just before noon. They had only one elevator and no escalator so it took a while to go up to our hotel, which was perfectly located inside the airport.

We went to their bar for lunch and both had the club sandwich. It was so thick that we couldn’t open our mouth big enough to take a bite but it was good.

We had talked about going into Paris or Disneyland but both of us had not slept well so we took a nap instead.

We read, organized our suitcases, went for a small walk in the airport, went to the lounge for a few snacks and a soda and watched a really violent action movie called The Gray Man.

Fun fact: the hotel is in the shape of a cruise ship.
