Another easy morning at home. The water was totally calm and Pogo was checking the horizon for awhile, hoping to spot dolphins and whales to drone over but no such luck.
Our quest to find pollo asado al carbon (charcoaled grilled chicken) as good as Chicken Boy in Rincon continued today. We went back to La Mision to find one of the places that Jean Marie had recommended. The cart was not there…We went to the other place he had recommended called Don Pollazo in San Vincente. It was just a counter on a busy street that we couldn’t park on but we finally found a parking spot. We ordered two full chicken meal, one for us and one for our friends. They both came with rice, mashed potatoes and a pasta salad. We got home 1 1/2 hours after leaving and were totally disappointed. The chicken was dry and the sides had no taste. The quest will continue!!! Maybe we shouldn’t mess with perfection and just go to Rincon whenever we feel like chicken. It is a lot faster to get there now taking the new highway but it would be a lot more expensive if we add the 223 pesos each way. Oh well, it might now have been a success but the journey was fun as you never know what you will seen on the road, like runaways cows on a sidewalk or a nasty cloud from a dump fire.
Josée’s eyes were already less swollen which was a good sign. I’m totally interested to see how quickly she will heal as I’m having a similar surgery on my eyelids at the end of April due to my OPMD. I had bought her flowers last night but this morning, before I had time to bring them to her, they had already died. What the heck!
We had a beautiful sunset!
We started watching the Poker Face series.

Hope you like Poker Face, we loved it. Anything by Rian Johnson is always great.
