Sylvie's Travels Home

Pogo went to pickleball and Michel and Edward walked to Starbucks then came home to pack. We picked up Pogo at 10am then went to La Isla for breakfast. We saw some turkey buzzards eating with the iguanas. The boys flight was delayed from 1:45pm to 3:20pm so we put their suitcases in the car and they came with us to my doctor appointment. There was a farmer’s market next to my doctor’s office so they went there while the doctor told me the results of my MRIs. Michel got me a little souvenir that he displayed as earrings when he met me back. I definitely have tears in my menisci (plural for meniscus, I learned a new word!) , 2 cysts, arthritis and my kneecaps are in bad shape. He said I will need knee replacements in the future. Yay…. I might have cortisone shots tomorrow morning.

We brought Michel and Edward to the airport 😦 I was really sad to see them leave. We really had a great time together!

On our way home, we decided to go to La Mision to find chicken. We found rotisserie chicken but not the al carbon kind I love and crave. We bought it anyway and brought it home. We had a late lunch watching the last episode of the 3rd season of All Creatures Great and Small. It was very emotional and I had a good cry.

I ended up doing 5 loads of laundry. I forgot to mention that Martin really wanted us to be back for his Mom’s funeral so he planned it for April 8th. I was really touched and happy about that.

The afternoon was cloudy but we brought a drink down and went to the pool for about an hour. The water was really warm. Josée et Mario joined us. We chatted with another Josée who had just arrived for the month with her cousin Isabelle and friend Chantal, for half an hour. We know Josée and her husband Normand from prior years.

We saw a Disney ship leave the marina on the horizon. It is a rare sight as they don’t come to PV very often.

The evening was spent watching The Last of Us and the first episode of season 3 of The Mandolorian.
