Nuevo Nayarit Day 35-36

February 13 & 14 2023

Max had to work all day so we played pickleball in a new league at 10:15am, my first introduction of playing with strangers. Josée and I played for an hour and had to stop as the sun was really intense. Pogo and Mario played for another 20 minutes. Pogo and I went to La Isla for fruits and coffee. Max came to pick us up since we had ordered her food and coffee to go.

We hit the pool as soon as we were back and Mario and Josée were there. We ended up spending most of the afternoon by the pool and Mario made us all hamburgers for a late lunch. Max made an appearance to eat quickly and went back to work. At some point, Pogo had opened two beers for himself without realizing….We made plans to go to Los Pericos with our friends for dinner. We stopped for churros on our way home. They came over for a tequila afterwards.

On Valentine’s Day, Pogo went to his normal morning pickleball and I went to the Tuesday market with Josée. We bought ourselves a few rings and earrings.

As I was pulling back to our condo’s parking lot, Max was waiting for me to bring her to the Starbucks. Google had agreed to take her last 16 short videos and she needed good Wi-Fi. She had also 2 business calls to make. We went to Jude’s Bistro for lunch because we thought the Wi-Fi would be good but it didn’t work. We ordered the food to go and went to Starbucks. After eating, I went back to the condo to do laundry and tidy up the place.

Pogo brought me back to Starbucks at 3pm so I could help Max with her work. I am now officially a social media assistant! He went to a doctor to discuss the problems with his knees. He was told he had calcium deposit on both kneecaps. He gave him a prescription of glucosamine and meloxicam. He is contemplating PRP treatments or possibly surgery. The doctor said that he should probably not play pickleball anymore. Max and I stayed at Starbucks until 6:30pm, went back to the condo to change, were surprised by beautiful bouquets of flowers and chocolate from Pogo and went for dinner at Yeo. It was so delicious! We all shared rock shrimps, gyoza, lobster taquitos, cucumber and seaweed salad, crispy rice spicy tuna and a sake lemon roll. We also shared a caramel lava cake with banana ice. I’m still full thinking about it!

My aunt had a tube put through her nose to empty her stomach and has been given medicine to stimulate her bowels and another to reduce the cancerous masses in her intestines.
