Nuevo Nayarit Day 29-30-31

February 7, 8 and 9, 2023

We left the hotel at 6am, walked through the terminal, went through security really quickly and went to the American Express lounge for a few hours.

We left Montreal at 9:45 am, watched 2 movies, ate french toast with a mimosa and arrived in PV at 2:30pm. Max flight had arrived an hour earlier so she was waiting for us. I was so happy she decided to come here for 2 weeks!

We found our new rental car in the airport parking lot, picked up milk and a few groceries and arrived at the condo around 4:30pm.

Mario and Josée had invited us for dinner. Max decided to have a burger at home since she had a lot of work to catch up on. We had Josée’s famous lasagna, one of the best I have ever had!, great garlic cheese bread and a yummy fruit salad for dessert. So delicious! What a great evening we had.

The next morning we went to La Comer to do a grocery and quickly checked out the Wednesday outdoor market where I bought my favorite salad dressing. We picked Max up and we all went for lunch at La Isla and our friends were really happy to see us. Graciela said: Welcome Home! and I have to admit that it felt good to be back. We saw a lot of humongous iguanas.

We played pickleball for an hour with Mario and Josée then drove Max to Starbucks in her quest to find good wi-fi, since ours is really bad. She worked there from 5pm to 10pm. She had a sandwich there for dinner and we brought her back a sake lemon roll from Nicksan, where we had dinner.

As our lives revolve around food and pickleball, let me tell you that the next morning, Pogo played pickleball then I picked him up and we went to Mama Nena for breakfast. Such a pretty place and the food is good as well. They made us 2 dozen fresh tortillas that we needed for dinner. We had invited Dee and Michel as well as Mario and Josée to come over but Dee decided not to come because they wanted to get ready for company arriving the next day. We “forced” Mario and Josée to come anyway since we had bought all the food for it. They were a little tired from a late night but were good sports. We made a taco bar which included steak, chicken and shrimp as well as all the accompaniments. Max spent the whole afternoon at Starbucks and came back around 8pm.

I’ve noticed a lot of Moth Flies in our bathroom since we came back to the condo. They are also known as drain flies or sewer flies. Gross. We forgot to put the cover over the drain in the shower when we left so that’s probably why.

My aunt has been in the hospital for the last 2 days. She has been on IV rehydration as she was totally dehydrated and they also removed over 68 ounces (2000 milliliters) of fluid from her lungs so far.
