Mexico – Day 40

On our walk this morning, we ran into a couple. The lady was very tanned except for the very white outline of the frame of her sunglasses. Her eyelids were tanned as well so maybe she had no lens? All I know is after passing them, Pogo and I looked at each other and burst into laughter! I wish I could have taken a picture.

After Starbucks, we had brunch at Jude Bistro and shared a club sandwich.

When we returned, Pogo paid some bills and I did more laundry.

A little rest and we were back to La Isla to watch the Super Bowl. I didn’t really care about watching it this year, I didn’t even know which teams were playing, but it was an occasion to go out with our friends and their friends. We had reserved a table for 8. La Isla had a special of all you can eat burgers, hot dogs, chili, ribs and fries for $21 per person. Beers were $1.50 and margaritas were $2.50. It was a lot of fun! They had set up 2 big TVs so we could watch the game from both sides of the tables. The food was OK but unfortunately the ribs were cold. They had not advertised so the restaurant wasn’t full. I felt sorry for them but we still had a great time.
