The boys left at 8:15am for their bike rides.
Deidre and I walked to D Bistro for breakfast. Then I drove us to the pilates studio. Being a beginner, my instructor concentrated on my breathing, my posture and mostly my abs. Let’s just say that it was challenging. I probably will be sore tomorrow. We bought a package of 8 private lessons and will share it. Deidre will go back tomorrow and Saturday. My next class will be on Monday as it is the next time my instructor is available.
We finished just in time to go pick up the guys at the bike shop. They had a good time. Derrick got a flat tire in a very poor and sketchy place full of cages with fighting cocks, but they were able to find someone to fix his tire while they had breakfast in the middle of nowhere in Bucerias. As poor and dirty as the neighborhood was, the people were extremely welcoming and friendly.
Deidre and I changed and took a Uber to Bucerias. We started with lunch at Big Boys. We shared nachos and a shrimp salad. We were interrupted every 30 seconds with vendors.
We went to the newer side of Bucerias walking on the beach. We did a little shopping in the few shops left. Deidre bought a bunch of small onyx dishes for her store. I found a table runner to add to my collection and a few pillow covers.
We took a taxi back and arrived at the condo at 5:30pm. The boys had taken a nap and later took a walk on the beach. They were ready to have dinner but we were still full from lunch. We waited until after the sunset. We had burgers sitting on the balcony. It makes such a difference to be able to eat outside, thanks to our friends for lending us a table and chairs while we are here.
Marta, our cleaning lady, contacted Pogo to let us know that her dad had just passed away from a heart attack. He had been sick for years but it was still unexpected and very sad to hear.
Shaun said that Vermont was expecting up to 24 inches of snow in the mountains. When I talked to him around 3pm, it had started snowing a bit but was really windy.
