We slept like babies and took it easy until around 9am.
We decided to go see our friends at La Isla for breakfast. Gabriella was there and was so happy to see us, as we were to see her. We caught up until our delicious breakfasts arrived.
We then went to do a big grocery at Costco which we had never seen so busy with all the registers opened and lines going down to half the length of the store. It was crazy and claustrophobic.
Afterwards, we went next door to La Comer to get more groceries.
By the time we were done, the car was full and we were exhausted!
It took 2 trips of full carts to bring our groceries up. After putting everything away and washing all the fruits and veggies, we were pooped. Pogo took a nap.
We noticed how dirty the condo was. The fridge was dirty, the cabinets were dirty, the floors were dirty and dust was everywhere. I don’t think the place had been cleaned for awhile. I cleaned at least the fridge before putting the groceries away but was pretty disappointed by the state of the condo because it is very unusual. We will ask Marta to come earlier than planned to refresh the place. It looks like there was a flood in the 2nd bathroom as the paint on the ceiling and wall is all chipping and bumpy. A big mirror from one bedroom fell and damaged the wall but hasn’t been fixed. It also looks like a giant bottle of crazy glue fell on the smaller bedroom floor and wasn’t cleaned up. The TV doesn’t have cable anymore and half the dishes are missing. It is a little disappointing.
By 5:30pm we were hungry and decided to go to Bucerias. Pogo wanted to go to Los Pericos but all the tables outside were reserved so we went not too far to Dugarel Plays, a seafood restaurant on the ocean. Pogo had a shrimp cocktail and red snapper. I had lobster tail and shrimp. It was very good. We were also entertained by mariachis. Guess what I requested? Cuccurrucucu La Paloma, of course!
We came home around 9pm. Pogo installed an amazon firestick on the TV and I started this new travel journal as my old one was canceled. It is not as easy to edit or to post pictures but I’ll give it a try and see.
